Practicality

I know Raya means festiveee seasons for like 2 to 3 months for some people. And their preparation are no joke! Tons of new clothes, baju kurung, kebaya, kurung modern, baju melayu  jubah & kurta you name it!

These days everything has been improvised to carter their needs. Lacey, beads, sulam, sticthes, patches cutting and printed pattern are trending. But nit everyone has the same interest on their baju raya designs right?

As for me, whatever brand it is the most important thing is the PRACTICALITY. nothing else matters. Personally i think that a great baju raya is the one that

1. Syarie' compliance
2. Comfortable
3. Can go straight into washing machine
4. No need inner/double layer

You know your baju raya is the best when you can easily pull up the sleeves to wash the dishes, help with the gravy, curry and lauk or help your aunt to hold the baby for awhile.

And check the weather as well. I'm currently in blazing hot sun of Melacca so no lacey or beadings or brocade / thick material this time. Also, check your upcoming event. Are you going to hotel, high ends places, relative houses, kampung or somewhere that may need little attention on your wardrobe choice.

It matters.

Every individual is different. So we all have different taste on fashion. Some people really takes fashion as life and that is absolutely fine. Some people practice absolute moderation and that is also great lifestyle. Some people are unfortunate and they can't afford nice clothes. So whatever we plan to do/wear, make sure we don't OVERDO it.

Be grateful for what we have because at the same time million others wanting to have what we have.
